Day Two - Nicaragua 2016

We started our day bright and early! We had breakfast of French toast and maple syrup, bacon and the three delicious homegrown fruits they usually serve every meal: watermelon, cantaloupe and pineapple.

We went back to the camp to have lunch and cleanup before we headed off to VBS. When we arrived, we were amazed at how many kids were there and found it hard to communicate with them since they mostly spoke Spanish. It was fun and also embarrassing as we tried to put together the few Spanish words we remembered.

After prying the kids off our backs, we headed back to our camp to have some free time of swimming and lying in the hammocks. We had dinner and then a time of reflection and worship to end the day.

The trip so far has been a great experience! We can't wait to see what God will bring throughout the rest of our time here!

P.S. - Don't worry Mom and Dad, we remembered to put on lots and lots of sunscreen!
